It’s Big-Air time again at the Essex Power-Kite Park; this year’s event will host the Big-Air 08 Buggy Competition for buggy jumpers and a Trampa Kite-Boarding Challenge for freestyle boarders. Classes will be split between adults and juniors, with prizes and trophy presentations to the winners, both sponsored and non-sponsored riders.

The Trampa Kite-Boarding Challenge is a free-style kite-boarding competition which is open to all riders, as long as you are an experienced free-style rider; you should be competing! A Trampa deck is not a needed to compete. Please email trampachallenge@up4kiting.co.uk for information. |

Come and join in with the celebrations in the marquee the club will be holding a party in the marquee on both nights with music, kiting films*, and of course presentations to the days winners.
Various refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, including a A Beer Tent, Burger Wagon, Rossi's Ice-cream Van and snack-bar. You are of course welcome to bring your own goodies. The event has been brought forward in this year so hopefully those who are camping should be a little warmer! A Kids Corner has been arranged, with face painting and a range of games and activites; free for children of all ages with parental supervision. * If you have a kiting film in DVD format you would like shown, bring & hand it onto a member of the club in the marquee. |

This year, both competitions will be a judged as a kite-jam style event. All registered competitors will be judged on their days riding whilst in the arena.
There will be a panel of judges who will select a maximum of four finalists for both buggyers and boarders.
The final will be a 20 minute round in each class for both competitions. All competitors must register free and sign-in at the registration desk prior to the competition commencing. Competitors then will be split into two classes, Adult Class and Junior Class.
BIG-AIR and TRAMPA CHALLENGE trophy and prize presentations will take place in the evening to start off the party in the marquee. Trophies and prizes to be awarded to the winners in each competition of:
► Adult Final – 1st Place ► Junior Final – 1st Place ► A Mug of the Day Award
► Adult Final – 2nd Place ► Junior Final – 2nd Place
► Adult Final – 3rd Place ► Junior Final – 3rd Place ► Best Overall Non-sponsored Adult ► Best Overall Non-sponsored Junior

COMPETITION RESULTS The results at the end of each round will be available and clearly displayed on the score-board at the registration desk once details have been confirmed by the judges. Final results will be announced at the end of the day and trophies and prizes will be awarded accordingly on the evening of the competition. The final results of both classes of both competitions will be posted on the web-site as soon as possible after the competition has taken place and prizes have been awarded. Winner's names and positions will displayed, along with a selection of images and a write up from the weekend. |
